Spend the day with Jamar and learn about time!

"Hi! It's me Jamar. I'm tired. It's time for bed!"
Looking for a fun and engaging lesson that introduces your lower elementary students to the concept of time? This interactive, game-like tutorial teaches the concept of time to young children through the use of everyday language and familiar events.
We designed this lesson to help students:
- describe concepts of time (e.g., before or after)
- estimate and measure the time of day as day or night; and morning, afternoon, or evening
- determine which of two daily activities takes more or less time
- identify the time (to the nearest hour) of everyday events
This engaging tutorial is one of three components that comprise this measurement lesson. Also included is a review activity where students practice the concepts they learned by playing an interactive game, and then a timed and graded quiz at the end to ensure mastery of the learning objectives.
Suggestion: Use this lesson as a fun, whole-class activity with your interactive whiteboard!
