As the school year is rapidly approaching, teachers and staff may have already started with the process of preparing schools and classrooms with all the appropriate tools and resources. For many schools, in this tough economy, it may be difficult to provide students with many of the resources that can help them learn and grow in different ways.
Grants are a huge and helpful way for schools to earn money that they deserve to better the education of their students. What many teachers and staff don’t know is that each month there are grants they can apply for. With resumes, applications and personal stories from each school, it is easy to apply for these great opportunities.

Below you will find a list of the grants that you can still apply for the months of August and September. You can click on the links to read more about each one.
August – Ongoing
Toshiba America Foundation – This grant is accepted for grades 6-12. In order to contribute to science and math education Toshiba continually searches for teachers who are passionate about making science and mathematics more engaging for their students. Grants up to $5,000 are continually reviewed for innovative teachers that want to make a difference.
Digital Wish – These grants from this public charity are offered every month to help schools gain technology access across every subject area. Grants for hardware and software are available to the winning applicants who submit their own technology-based lessons plans. Creativity and quality of each lesson is carefully assessed to award deserving candidates and there are also ideas for lesson plans and fundraising.
The Wells Fargo Foundation – Organizations like schools and education programs that help strengthen our communities are supported by Wells Fargo. Many non-profit organizations and educational programs are encouraged to apply for the grants that will help strengthen their organization, which will help strengthen the community.
